Riding along Newcastle Quay

After yet another goodbye to Andrews Mum and Alex we got to the train station at Berwick and

went straight to Newcastle where we where able to jump straight onto a cycle path all ten miles to the ferry port.
The cycle path is called Hadrians cycleway and it is a great journey, mostly flat and off main roads completely. It was great to ride near the Quay.

The queue of bikes off the fery

We got to the port a full two hours early and then onto the ferry 3 hours before we left. But we did meet a really nice Scottish guy that is travelling along the Danube and his blog is: adanderalongthedanube.blogspot.com you should check that out because its awesome what he is doing, he is retired now and following his dream!!
The ferry ride was okay, we didnt take out a mortgage so couldnt afford food on the ferry but we came prepared with goodies!
Once in the Netherlands it took an hour to get off the ferry but once off we jumped straight onto a cycle lane which are abundant in the country.
We managed to get to the campsite rather quickly thanks to the cycle lane and to Andrews navigational skills.
The campsite we stayed at is called camping zeeburg.  Its cheap but has everything you could ask for a bar, shop, showers and wifi. Only downside for us where the huge stairs we had to get everything up and down when arriving or leaving.
